See it in action

A quick walkthrough of installing Translate Feed and localizing your feed.

Everything you need to read across borders

Set it once, then just scroll. Translations appear inline as new content loads.

Auto-translate as you scroll

New posts and comments are translated the moment they appear — no clicking, no interruption. Just scroll and read.

Now in Slack & Microsoft Teams

Translate the messages you actually read in Slack and Teams chat — not meeting captions or audio. One extension for both your social feeds and your team chat.

Free or bring your own AI

Start free with Google Translate, or plug in OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter and more for better quality.

Make it yours

Choose your target language, font, size and color. Show translations alongside or replace the original — per site.

Privacy-first

Everything runs in your browser. Your API keys stay on your device. Analytics is anonymous and off by default.

Quick translate

Paste any text into the side panel and translate it on the spot — handy for messages, snippets and more.

Easy on your API quota

Only visible posts get translated — never the whole page in the background. Use your own AI key without worrying about runaway costs.

Questions people actually ask

Everything about localizing your feed.

How do I translate my X (Twitter) feed?

Install Translate Feed, open X, and choose your target language. Posts and comments in your timeline are translated inline automatically as you scroll — no copy-pasting.

Which sites can I localize?

X (Twitter), Reddit, Bluesky, YouTube, Hacker News, Slack and Microsoft Teams are supported, with more on the way. You can enable or disable translation per site.

Does it translate Slack and Microsoft Teams calls?

No — Translate Feed translates the chat messages you read in Slack and Teams, the same way it translates a social feed. It does not translate meeting captions or live audio; for that you'd need a different tool.

Is it free?

Yes. Translate Feed uses free Google Translate out of the box — no account or API key required. You can optionally add your own AI provider key for higher-quality translations.

Which AI providers are supported?

Any OpenAI-compatible provider, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek and OpenRouter, plus a custom Base URL. Your API key stays on your device.

Will it use a lot of my API quota?

No. Translate Feed only translates the posts currently visible on your screen (and just ahead as you scroll), so it never bulk-translates an entire page in the background. Your AI API usage stays minimal.

What languages can I translate into?

Any language. Pick your target language in the settings and your feed is localized into it — read an English timeline in your language, or a foreign timeline in English.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything runs in your browser, your API keys never leave your device, and anonymous usage analytics are off by default. See our Privacy Policy.
